Deutschland - "Ich bin ein Berliner"
The Berlin Night Express...awesome! My first overnight train and what a cool one, we had our own room, well besides the sixth guy from where, I have no idea, but he didn't speak English and wasn't to excited to be thrown in a room with 5 U.S. grad students...haha
ohh and "Ich bin ein Berliner" was from a famous speech in '63 from JFK to the people of the free West Berlin indicating that all free men are citizens of Berlin. JFK wanted to add "I am a Berliner" in German to his speech and on his walk up the stairs just before his speech he asked for a quick translation and went with it. However he added the indefinite artile "ein" changing the meaning of the sentence to "I am a jelly doughnut"
